Don Lemon Has Full-Blown Tantrum During Shouting Match With Conservative Pundit: ‘SHUT UP!’

Things got heated on CNN on Tuesday night when host Don Lemon had a full meltdown after conservative pundit Matt Lewis described the crowd of liberal protesters who chased Ted Cruz and his wife out of a restaurant last month as a “mob.”

Mediaite reported that the disagreement started when Lewis said that these protesters, who were furious about the Brett Kavanaugh nomination process, exhibited “mob behavior,” while Lemon argued that they were just exercising their first amendment rights. Lewis said that if tea partiers were harassing Democratic lawmakers over the confirmation of a Supreme Court justice, liberals would describe the conservative protesters as a “mob” as well.

“The Tea Party did hound people, the Tea Party people hounded me when I went out to cover them!” Lemon yelled. “And do you know what I said? It was their right to do it because they’re Americans!”

“Don, if they started following you around a restaurant and running you out of places,” Lewis fired back

“I would say they’re wrong because I’m not an elected official!” Lemon exclaimed. “I’m not an elected official! If I put my name on a ballot and I won office- journalists are not public officials! They’re not public servants.”

Though Democratic strategist Maria Cardona said that she “didn’t agree” with those who accosted Cruz, she would not call them a mob.

“Is it mob behavior? Not it’s not mob behavior,” Lemon said. “It’s people who are upset and they’re angry with the way the country is going and the policies of these people-”

Lewis wasn’t having any of this and he tried to interrupt the CNN host. It was then that Lemon really started to lose it.

“Will you let me finish, Matt?!?” Lemon screamed. “Please, before you jump in, okay? I’m making a point! And I can’t make it if you keep interrupting me!”

“Are you the moderator or the host or are you arguing a liberal talking point?” Lewis questioned.

“I’m the moderator and the host of this show and I’m trying to make a point to tell you that you’re giving mob rule,” Lemon replied. “I’m telling you why people are angry.”

After the two asked each other to look up the definition of the word mob, Lewis tried to interrupt Lemon once again.

“Fine,” Lewis replied. “Mind if I have a drink?”

“You could do whatever you want, you could leave the show if you want, but let me finish,” Lemon fired back. “Shut up and let me do it!”
